Tip for you Rob;

don't use your TCL in the wet, and run it as fast as it'll go when in cleaning mode....

How much of this do you want, there is some very neat
brass (looking) gearing/rollers and speed adjustment kit
in that front end

Got it cheap, end of line/x-display from our local builders merchant
but it was just about the best drill we ever bought. It had some real
Grunt
Was as powerfull as the 'crazily' expensive ones we used to buy
MAK££ta, De-$$lt, etc,

Happy to pop the front back together and send Motor+gears etc
but it may shove the postage up a bit???
(and still not got a clue where these poles are hiding :thinking

WOW on full chat it flies round even with the top switch turned right down,
and what a racket
It don't stop to quick on full chat either and tends to run up sidings when not expected
Got my first ever real/crash damage, when it shot in to a siding unexpected and smacked a fieldbahn truck at full tilt.
Truck went about 12 feet in to a tux craft engine shed.

Whats the best glue to fix lgb kit

It def makes a big diference but bounces a lot on R1&R2 curves, leaving Zebra stripes

How many passes do i risk taking on very tarnished track ???
Got 200m to clean

I find I get the best results with the cleaning wheels just below max speed and the loco moving at about half speed, the bouncing is minimal and the stripes are removed after about 4 passes. If they are stubborn ie if the track has been out of use for a while, I run the TCL in t'other direction.

Big thank you to Rob s . M otor arrive this afternoon. Presently under going a running test.

At least it isn't frying the analogue controller like the others were, and it looks like thesame centres so the same mount will do the job

Interesting thread Phil. What was the problem with the original impeller?

On my rotary, I used the motor and fan from an old dust buster and I screwed some pieces of aluminium angle on to the fan to act as the impeller. It spins at about 1,000,000rpm and makes a hell of a racket but it actually removes the snow. It diesn't really throw it to the side, more just chops it up but it looks impressive!

in the latheHi James, The first effort with copper was too soft, and I had problems turning it. Two blades bent on the tool in the lathe. (Not the tool doing the turning)

Take it your impellor blades are on the skew and not at 90 degrees. But at least yours works. Like to see photos of it .
