My LGB Trackcleaner Loco ( usually a most reliable and essential workhorse) has suddenly gone awol. The loco starts to operate the second it is put on the track.Neither of my 2 controllers register its use. After a few seconds there is obviously a short as everything stops as the controller is cut out. I have removed all wheel debris but the same fault occurs. Any ideas why and how to fix it please. I can't do without the trackcleaner for long.
Many thanks

You're running DCC Clive?

By "starts to operate" do you mean the cleaning function starts or the loco moves (or both?) Can you try it on analogue DC? My first thought is the decoder may have partially failed.

just make sure the switch in the cab is in the right position for DCC if it is the analog/digital version , possibly been moved/, just a thought .

Something like this happened to me whilst visiting a friends railway with some of my DCC locos.

Another (Numpty) operator, not familiar with Massoth, left some of my locos (a Kof and a RhB TE 2/2) still running but then lifted them off the track.

Having put them back on the track later, they zoomed off into the buffer stops. Eventually, I realised he was still 'logged' on to my locos when I couldn't get control of them. I had to grab his handset and stop my locos running.

So as you have more than one handset, it might be worth checking this first, or reseting the Massoth system....
