More lovely photos - I'd never really felt any attraction to the LGB Harz stuff, but now you guys have shared this stuff........ luckily it's all so expensive I'd have to sell my car to buy any!

I guess though for guys in Germany, Canada, Switzerland... etc etc our very own Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways offer the same draw. I really enjoyed my trip back in February on the first day of regular operation on the full WHR - and I did the FR in 2009 - both lovely trips, great scenery, lots of drama at crossings with other trains etc...

I guess the specific draw of the Harz is the size of these 2-10-2s - they look incredible. You really need a big garden line to do them justice! :)

understand the orange light remote control but what are the seemingly hinged up buffers, are they for SG stock on rollewaggons?

Lovely selection of Pics and nice video - enjoyed very much!

It's great to see some of the stock pictures and see how close LGB and more recently Trainline seem to have captured the true feeling of the prototype. As I said earlier, it's a system I've never paid attention to before now - I'm now wondering about picking up the Middleton Press book as a cheap introduction into the area.
