And then the experiment ended as I couldn’t get 1mm holes drilled. The drill wasn’t sharp enough.

I ordered the hooks at Cambrian. Another delay for finishing this project, but with all this effort invested already I want it to be perfect.

oh and got me some rivets for upcoming projects!

Primer. To see if there are imperfections that are visible. Oh boy there are...

Looks good to me Henri, but perhaps you are too much of a perfectionist. Once painted up in its proper livery with some subtle weathering, trundling roundvthe Garden any imperfections that you see here will be unseen.

Thanks, yes I'm a perfectionist. And I have a bad habit that whenever I've spotted an 'imperfection' and didn't act to it, I will see it each time...

For example, the strip underneath the tiny footstep has a 'crack'. I'll try to fix that with filler. Also the two top corners around the access panels in both the front and rear. I just have to fix those cracks. Stuff like that...

I would call that perfection but then I'm easily pleased... :)

It’s not that bad. Just a few blobs of filler.

Hm sometimes cleaning up the few blobs can be worse than what was before. I am finding that with the Railcar, every time I fill and Sand I still find blemishes. Hope you do not suffer the same Henri.

That thought occurred to me as I read Henri's post. I can remember occasions when tidyng up the tidying up, as it were, led to the abandoning of the whole project!

Don't worry. I'm an filler expert ;-)

Used to customize plastic model car kits in my dark years.

This afternoon I finally resumed work on the Backer.
The hooks are just perfect. Now all bodywork is finished and painting can start. I sanded the body to smoothen imperfections. If the weather is ok I might apply a new coat of primer tomorrow.

I see you have trouble with the 'management' getting in the way, as well! ;)
