Picked up a green Lil Big Hauler last BTS with the intent of bashing something using the drive for something, after some contemplation and investigation I decided to do what I have been considering since the first day I picked up a Lil Big Hauler caboose, namely using the Bobber-bash method to try a really little Boxcab:

Here is the Lil Big Hauler cut dow a bit:

Early test fit, it sits almost exactly in between the engines end beams

Underside caboose with chassis removed

Cupola cut off and filled, body fitted with screws onto LBH drive.

Clear plastic added to windows, stuff added to rooftop:

Painted, for now I will keep the "Shortline Rwy"

Need to wait for new link/pin LGB couplers to show up, this will be nice to pull the LBH coaches on the Pizza.

What to call it? well as its a 'Lil' hauler, I'm calling this one 'Lily'

Neat! Like it:thumbup:

Great idea love it

Vic, as usual, I read the title, and before I saw the author, I knew who's post it was. Great bash.

You have given me another good idea box loco and snow plough plus track cleaner at the back using a sand block all in one.
As all ways you come up with a good idea that we can
embellish good on you Vic.

Thanks but I am a little confused by the snowplow reference. Not being aware of alot of British prototypes a little primer would be appreciated.

hi Vic
at present using one loco and two pieces of rolling stock but by making a box loco and a plough built into the front would not be wasting a loco and wagons , can be used for clearing leafs and cats as well .

Hi Vic
some time a go there was a James Bond film with a diesel loco and the front end to the cab height was a snow plough that's were I pinched the idea from .I am sure some of the forum members will know what I am talking about and even be able to tell you what class of loco it was .we saw it at Crewe heritage site and it was still painted with the Russian stars on it

The couplers are a bit long, I had to use Bachmanns coupler adaptors and they stick pretty far out
on these, we'll see how they work out.

What a super little beastie. If this range had been about when I started in G I may have gone Small Line USA. great job.
