Trams: Is There Much Tramway Interest On Here??

Modern Railways this month has a short piece about Luxembourg trams. They now go to the Airport so if flying there a convenient way rather than a horrible bus to get into Town. Extensions possibly 4 planned to be in place by mid 30’s oh and yes they are free to travel in as is all domestic transport in the country. What is not to like?

Sad bit of news I read today in the Metro of a tram being run into by a car, made a change from the normal train/tram hits car routine normally spouted out by the press.

Newcastle (on Hunter) LRV Depot
The depot tracks are the only wired section of the Newcastle route, which runs CAF LRVs wirelessly, with onboard energy storage that does a quick charge top-up at stops.
The Newcastle Interchange with EMU rail services to Sydney and DMU rail services to the Hunter region is immediately behind the LRV depot. (photo - Sally Bolton)
