Trams: Is There Much Tramway Interest On Here??

What is damn convenient is that it is 1:24 which is the wrong scale for me, otherwise I'd be disappearing down another rabbit hole :nod:
My understanding is occre have a slightly rubbery ruler.
The part built Soller tram someone dropped on me is very slightly larger in some respects than a Bachmann tram.

Occre Milan Tram 1/24 Scale

Bachmann Tram

Length

591mm

350mm

Width

116mm

100mm plus 10mm for lower steps

Height

212mm

160mm

Now my understanding is that a 1:24 should be a smaller model than one at 1:22.5 scale, but that's just my understanding of scales.

edit - that formatting or lack of was bugging me - feel much better the noo

Sorry, don't know where that came from. I have just bought a new laptop...of course it comes without an oerating manual and I am trying to get used to some new operations. Zzz sounds like me trying t come to terms with it - it was not intended as a comment on any postings on here. I will now attempt further experiments on the keyboard...etaion shrudlu shrudlu...

Like most modern appliances, you have to download the instructions - an that is extremely tricky when trying to work out how to start a laptop and connect it to the internet in order to download the instructions.

Catch 22

For those that haven't seen this layout "in the flesh", that shot of Lacey Green shows the running line and passing loop at the start of the balloon loop at bottom right, and the far end of the baloon loop at the top. In between are the two storage sidings that, at many exhibitions are covered by a two-road shed. At Wickham, with lots of different trams to display, we omitted the shed and instead just fenced off that area (Health & Safety, don't you know!).

The next outing of the Whiteleaf Tramway is at the Solent Sky Museum in Southampton on 21st/22nd June (Events | Solent Sky), where it will be in an L-shaped formation (to fit around and between the permanent exhibits). Lacey Green will be at one end of the layout, but I'm not sure (until we get there) whether it'll be the fence (must make more!) or the shed.

A week later, on Sunday 29th June, we are exhibiting a different configuration of the tramway at the Astolat Model Railway Club's exhibition at the Spectrum Leisure Complex in Guildford (2025 Exhibition - Sunday 29th June 2025 - Astolat Model Railway Club)

A new feature is being developed for our outing to Exeter in October but, as that won't be a tramway, I'll not mention it here!

All the best

Goodness me - Astolat Model Railway Club still going! But is Astolat still going? - it was a fencing company based at Witley when we were living down there - just adjacent the tip.
