Certainly did in the 1950’s and perhaps early 60’s, not entirely sure when they would have disappeared but certainly by privatization in 1994, however some of the TOC’s did try to reintroduce them but not entirely sure it would have fitted in with the profit motives.Did BR have any Porters?

Oh them sort of Porters, not many or even any to the best of my knowledge. There may have been some Porter built locomotives in industrial service. Certainly the WW1 and WW2 imports were not by Porter according to my research just now.Yes, I remember the human porters, but ...

Well, Paul, congratulations on going international! For those of you over the pond, the Woodlock line is featured in the 2025 Garden Trains Annual by Whiteriver Productions in a nice four page spread.As Bob Ross would say.......Happy little clouds.......lovely railway.

Have you been raiding your personal quarry again? Must admit when I lived in Horbury Bridge finding rocks in sundry places was a happy experience, oh and scale sized 0 gauge ballast.No incentive to get the trains out as it's just depressingly dull. So half hour with some cement and some rocks to give the railway a bit of depth. Rockery plants tomorrow all being well.
