Busy morning. Started by cleaning the track, and fettling the point work.

Then I ran a electrical cable out from the track power supply, right down the side of the house, to feed it in to the rails, at what is effectively the end of a very long siding. So now it's a circle, electricity wise, meaning no power drain towards the end, especially as there is point work in said siding. Just a bit of tidying up later with some postcrete to hide the wire. Also, I have re done the level crossing, that had to be removed with the remodeling work a few weeks ago.

I have in the past save a bit by cutting a Massoth clamp in half to make 2 feeds. Just pulled similar out of my loft.

Good idea, the thought crossed my mind. But I'm going to be brutally honest, I couldn't be bothered

It's not always about new locomotives and wagons. A bit more cement later, and I've put rocks on the approach to the bridge. A job I've been doing for at least a year.....

I'm sorry to say, but that is a recipe for disaster. When you trim that climber, the chances are you'll trim the cable as well.

Needs must. There's never any growth underneath, it's all very woody. The other white cable has been there a few years now.

Have to say, I would have run it through conduit myself.

In other news, a visitor to the line from my dad's line just down the road.

I guess I couldn't be bothered with conduit as it's barely visible, and can't bury it because of the cobble path, upon the original concrete path.
