The Woodlock Line

If I had a box full of R1 I'd try to do that I think or at least lay them out to get some ideas. It's a lot of money wasted though if it still didn't fit.
Shame you don't live near me.

I could have loaned you a few!

Second hand R1 can be brought for £3-4, and can always be re-radiused to something wider, or even straightened....

Duncan, i hope i can help you but so far i'm lost in all these pics. Why so many photographs of the same situation and each without any comment or question ? What is your problem? Can you give me a clear picture/drawing of the total overview of your track and a description of what you want to build?

Post 1299. I think it's abundantly clear what I am trying to achieve, and as for the photos, well, it's a bit like a blog with lots of updates.

Now, this is the internet, and people are free to ignore my posts, and go on to the i have next subject. Maybe you should do that if my updates are annoying you. I don't think the majority of people reading and following my thread have any issues.
I personally have no problems with your lots of pictures, notes of revisions etc. , keep m coming.

Please move the cat first...
I think the cat is on a porch (or similar) roof, I just hope the line is going under the roof and not over it ;)

I don't have any issue, just trying to think with you to find some nice solutions.

Not much progress as I'm on nights. My Heyn track has arrived all the way from Germany, while my track from this country hasn't even set off yet, despite been ordered at the same time. I blame Brexit! How's that even possible :D.

Anyway I can see more now how it may look. Some tweaks to do, but clearances are ok.

A lot of people hate the brexit! I had some nice stores, but now....
Looking forward to your progress.
But my idea about a track under the rocks, just to create a mounten road/tunnel, i would defiantly love it

A little trip to that there secret rock pile, in deepest darkest West Yorkshire. Spot the rocks though, they don't go far. Anyway, I've extended the rockery towards the inner circuit, planting to take place next week. Still waiting on my track delivery from the UK, despite my track from Germany coming the other day..... So I'm stuck now. Can't do anything. I just want to get it finished, ballasted, and tidy.

Nice to have a secret rock stash.
Ha, it's not really secret as such. A local farmer puts it all in a massive pile. I think it's what get ploughed up when he tends to his land. It's a really nice colour of stone which seems quite local to Ledston and Fairburn as all the houses are the same colour.

Last time I went to the garden centre it was about 7 quid per rock.....

A little more progress today. Word has it that the track is on route, so I've wired up a new point motor and hidden the wire. This will co-act with the existing number 5 points, providing flank protection. A new plant, and some more to go in. Also I've removed the Piko straight so that the new Piko point can be inserted.

Tomorrow is an exciting day, going to fill a Priv Pass and go for a ride to Scarborough, for there is a locomotive waiting with PS for me. Maybe a couple of pints too.PXL_20250523_131643254.jpgPXL_20250523_145954427.jpgPXL_20250523_151745905.jpgPXL_20250523_152406181.jpgPXL_20250523_152521803.jpgPXL_20250523_152809047.jpgPXL_20250523_152844250.jpg
