Back after a long time away

My wife and I have recently moved from Chichester West Sussex to Chilton near Durham. We have a lovely new house with a large garden for a new build. We are just starting on our 5th Garden Railway and I have been allocated an area to do with as I want. (Within reason). As I now have 3 live steam locos and my LGB engines run on battery power I don't have to worry about track power. Tonight we started laying the gravel for the railway area and hopefully soon we will have a trial run of Russell my favourite locomotive. If you don't mind, I'll add photos as we get more built, in the correct thread of course.

Welcome home again from teeny-tiny land. This is going to be a great build series as you have all the experience needed.

Wellcome home ! 5th garden railway, that and battery powered LGB and live steam. A well trodden path around here it seems. Ah yes, the tyranny of track power. Look forward to seeing your line develop. Max.

Welcome back.

Welcome back "Chilton Railway Runner",
Interesting to see how you are building your new track from bottom zero having a lot of experience to bring in use. I hope we get more pictures in the future? As I always say to (new) beginners: do not forget to apply diluted copper grease to all your electric contacts in order to prohibit contact problems.
I wish you a very nice layout!
