I'm hoping Chris Bird may pick this up.
I have an embarrassing problem, arising out of the recent manhandling of my Edrig.
Is it possble, practical, economical to have a chuff pipe repaired?

Have no fear Rob - Chris is indeed here!
Just pop it in the post to Nigel Garrett (address on the website) and he will put a new boss on it for you FOC. Just put a note in saying I said so and I will make sure he is expecting it.
Nigel is knee deep in Chuffer orders at the moment but I know he will make it a priority
Cheers
Chris
Thanks Chris, I shall take up the advice asap.
I refitted the original pipe, don't know if it's Accy or a retrofit, but there's an awful lot of gunge spraying out.
Just after painting the boiler!
Wow good service.... most people would say you broke it you buy another one... I really like the helpfulness of this hobby. For the record out of the 1600 I paid for my lady anne and Ragleth the £50 which went on chuff pipes provides about 50% of the enjoyment....
Yes, cracking good service ethic, as also just experienced again from Accucraft UK.
I've ordered some more pipes for the Roundhouse section of the MR fleet.

No problem Rob -I spoke to Nigel and he will have a new adapter ready. I always think that we provide the "Chuff" rather than the gizmo - so it has to be chuffing for me to be happy
Cheers

The week before my little disaster, at a local meeting, a friend told me he'd switched his hearing aid off because of the piercing chuff from Edrig/Owain.

It's a funny thing Rob, but although my wife tells me I need a hearing aid when I don't hear her, I can always hear the Chuffers
Cheers
Chris
Interesting... it's mine who's just got a hearing aid, after years of saying I mumble...
and who didn't hear the train approaching in the recently posted "Railway Incident".
Must admit though, it was battery powered.
Well, chaps, my chuffer has been returned, repaired, along with the three new ones I ordered.
Very commendable service from the Summerlands team.
A special thank you to Nigel, who did the work.
I will report again when they're all fitted.
