RhB Wagon with Double Buffers

I've just had an LGB RhB Open Wagon delivered.

Made in China 2004 and the LGB logo underneath.

Then I noticed it has double buffers as a SG Wagon would, but the metre gauge RhB has single buffers. It looks like the buffers can be changed but as this item is second hand and with no box, I don't have the single buffer beam.

Would anyone have this part for sale or to swap please? I have thing about running stock with the same buffering gear I fitted all my Piko Shimmns wagons with the single buffer beam, and gave the double ones to my mate Jason who had a Wagon without any buffers.

PM me if you can help...

I can confirm the single buffer was an extra in the box,

I did have a rake of 4 (now sold) you can with a bit of modelling skill remove the end platform if you wished.

Dan
Thanks Dan,

Unfortunately my wagon was unboxed, so I need replacements....

I didn't know LGB ever did double-buffers - although was this from their brief forray into standard guage stuff before bankruptcy? I was out of the hobby during that period but remember being suprised as some of the product line.
I've got three of their SNCF Mikados - all with double buffers. I'm fairly sure I also have some Pullman coaches kitted out in the same fashion.

I can't understand why LGB would have double buffers on a metre gauge RhB wagon.

Unless it was an optional extra supplied with it.

As I've mentioned, PIKO supplied single buffer beams as an extra for their SHIMMNS wagons. I've fitted my 5 with the single buffer beams as most of my stock is NG and fitted as so.

The only vehicles I have with double buffers is my PIKO VT Railbus. I would have fitted it with single buffers if it had been an option....

I was in the middle of a furkle in the garage Gizzy when I got the alert on this thread. I might just have a single buffer set to fit your railbus. Is it single or double car? I've got a twin car set and I'll have a look at the fittings to see if I have a replacement set. In the meantime I'm still working on your single buffers for the wagon. Will message in due course.

It's a double set Mike.

Motor car and trailer....

Been going through my huge stock of LGB spares Curtis and found these - no part numbers on the bag, but they look suspiciously like those on my OE coaches.17907833615937225492761536967381.jpg

I think they were covering options for both metre gauge and their standard gauge options, but yes on a RhB wagon a bit odd.
