Although 32mm gauge I understand that they can be re-gauged up to 45mm.

The "bogie" wagons appear to be 4-wheelers behind dummy side frames. Might have considered it had it been 45mm gauge from the outset as a basis for making other things, but all of the vehicles look rather small (apart from the red tipper wagon) compared with the "normal" G items (1:22-1:24) I've got, even at that price.....

I've got one for young visitors to play with. It is definitely nearer to O Gauge than 16mm or G Scale. The loco as supplied only goes forwards. The wagon wheels as supplied are loose on their axles and so suffer from having a variable back-to-back measurement. The bogies on the wagons only have one axle!

However, a bit of glue and a bit of thought soon turned it in to something that does the job I want it to perfectly.

??Would it be possible to post a picture of one of the wagons with a 'G' flat along side it??

Does the 'fourteen feet of track' allow you to form an oval? - I do not imagine there is more than 'curves and straights' in the box..

For 16 squid there must be plenty of potential bashes, there must be be more than a few taking up the challenge.

BRW I said Tesco online, strictly it should have been Tesco Direct.

Tesco Direct are now out of stock. My local Tesco at Abingdon had one left, marked up at £20, but when I scanned it, It showed £16. Good buy at that price. I will try the other stores in the area to see if I can get one for the Grandson.
If anyone's track from this set is surplus to requirments, I would be interested.
Electric's are not my strong point, so if anyone works out a R?C conversion, let us know how.
Regards to all, Chufferman.

Just ordered one...
Collection tomorrow, but busy this week / weekend..

Should be quite straightforward though. - IF it is easy to get apart!

It is quite 'basic'. - Well from a Garden-Railers' point of view.

The track has a 'rough' moulded top-edge to it, and the loco has 'traction tyres on all four wheels of the powered bogie.
The tipper is fixed-axle, as was stated the bogies stock has one axle per bogie.
fixed couplings on the tipper, the rest are on the bogie-frames, so will swivel.

It says' 'multiple layouts' for the track:
I get four; Circle, circle with straight in each quadrant, one-straight oval, two-straight oval..

Looks to be you have to press the light on the loco to make that work? - No batteries at the moment..

There is some minor cosmetic damage on my loco, but for £16.00, added to the fact I probably won't be able to live with the chrome anyway, I can't complain.

Saw a couple of the sets on the shelves in the Tesco at Martlesham Heath this morning.
Confirmed my view of the thing that it would be to much work to get anything useful out of the contents - even for £16.....

I do tend to agree. - If we are talking making it 'proper'..

Batteries / RC £100
Bogies / couplings ? £80

Bits and bobs, paint, time..

Suddenly, you have a £200 trainset!

I will throw RC at it, 'cos I can... Then let kids play with it. - If I have to do more to keep it on the track, then we will see..
