Should pull well up Pootank Pass too!
Well, we wouldn't say anything if it didn't, would we?![]()

Just as a thought, if someone wanted to do one closer to the O&K prototype photo, you could probably do so with a pair of LGB Feldbahn steamer chassis - they might be short enough (though admittedly you can't shorten them too much, as they have the motor at the back) and have the very small wheels. The downside, of course, would be that two of them would be a lot more expensive to source than two Ottos!
Jon.
I think it would be diffcult to articulate the Feldbahn loc's Jon, because as you say the motor is at the back so I wouldn't be able to hack much away from the leading chassis. Plus the Felbahn steamer is such a lovely loco that I really wouldn't want to chop it about.
Thanks jon, I'm actually going to stick to the straight stack as I'm not a fan of balloon stacks. The prototypes did exist with a straight stack (Statfold Barn Railway has one).Zerogee said:3Valve said:Zerogee said:Excellent job, Gareth, looking forward to seeing it finished!

On reflection, I think you're right on both counts, Gareth - I can see that the articulation could be a problem, and I agree that it would be a shame to chop up two Feldbahn locos! Ah well, it was only an idea....![]()
In case it helps, if you want a funnel for it that is very similar to the one in your inspiration photo:

Should be able to crack on again at the weekend once the stiches have done their work.

One quick question, what size plasticard have you used to make the cab and tanks from?
