Hi chaps
So found out about Piko today same track head height unlike Pico.
Got a right turn R3 for £40
Half the the price of LGB second hand.
Very happy
Motor on the side £30
Also good I feel.
So next question do I go to James Massoth get a decoder £75 which will do four turn outs?
And connect it all to my bus … yet to go in x
Oh and bought three 100 mm bits for £4 each.

Yes indeedMini![]()
Think you may have your Piko mixed up with Peco. However there are converter fisplates from Peco that allow both types to be used together that is Piko, LGB and Peco. Oh just been looking for reference but cant find them on Peco site? Wonder if they still do em?Hi chaps

Well yes they work but for long term in the garden if you are passing power over them though they have an insert for that I would do a wire jumper. I tended to use them to make sections on my garden line utilising them in isolation mode where I was using larger code rails for curve sections and Peco track in stations.Hi thanks are the converts good?
I just don’t want to add problems to a railway I’m new at xx
Chris
Good point I’m selling my x10 peco straights. Only want the right bits I don’t want to build in any problemsThat isn't a Peco point. It looks like Code 335 rail (Peco is Code 250) so it should join onto LGB rail with your usual fishplates/clamps.
The adaptor fishplates are OK, but in my experience the Peco track needs packing because although the joiners marry up the railhead at the same height, the combined rail/sleeper height is different, which can lead to a ramp effect as the smaller-section rail runs up to meet the larger.
That sounds sensible to me. I bought three Tenmille points (Code 330 or thereabouts) which were too cheap not to, and have installed them -with the correct joiners- to an otherwise Peco layout (Code 250). It is not a happy marriage, and as soon as I find some suitably-priced second-hand Peco ones, I'll replace them.Good point I’m selling my x10 peco straights. Well that’s great to read. That sounds sensible to me. I use both peco and LGB plus Arist mostly use the bigger stuff for curves but using the peco joiners I find few problems even with the difference in height. Use your Peco on a nice long straight if you have ine, track is so expensive these days it is a shame to not use good track when you have it.Well that’s great to read.
You are welcome to my peco straights
Or i may use them to make handrails for my trestles
Chris
That's very kind of you, although I'm not in Cheshire often -my MiL is in Warrington, but as she will tell you, I don't visit her very often!Well that’s great to read.

I don't know about the availability in your area, but Aristo Craft made a plug in smoke generator with a stove pipe. Sometimes show up on eBay. They plug into a audio jack and are designed for track power. (12-24vdc?) #2 G ARISTO-CRAFT SEUTHE SMOKE UNIT FOR PASSENGER CARS - WORKING | eBay Since it seems to be made by Seuthe something similar may be available over the pond.Hi
here is the new mad question.
I have a caboose. It has a chimney.... and I have the rear running lights going from the metal wheels I put in.
I am DCC so I believe thats 18volt at the track??
Is there a tiny smoke machine that can feed that chimney pipe at all that any of you top folk have found?
Mad but my next step.
Thanks
