Hi,

Having purchased a lovely second hand Spreewald on this forum, I have a question reagrding the Dietz sound please.

Using my navigator controller, I appear to have four different sounds i.e. buttons 1-4 work. Is this normal for a Dietz sound system please? Would anyone have a instruction manual they could email or point me in the right direction to get one on the net?

Kevin.

Hello Kevin,

Some of the DIETZ sound decoders are also sold by Uhlenbrock in the Intellisound 3 range. Fortunatly they have english manuals. get them from here: https://www.uhlenbrock.de/ Click on Download, then Hanbucher, then English, you may be lucky.

You could ask at Glendale Junction who are the UK Dietz importers http://www.glendalejunction.co.uk/ , or try A&H Models http://www.aandh-models.co.uk/ , I've found them helpful.

Yes, some of the Dietz sound recordings only have three or four sounds that you can control via functions (and some have many more), however, although you don't have control over them, I've found that you get many other sounds such as coal shovelling, exhaust sounds etc that happen automatically.

Thanks very much Phil and Cliff for the information.
I had some quality "testing" time yesterday and indeed, there are additional sounds that happen automatically, especially when the loco is stationary.
