What happened at your workbench today?

All this talk of roofing, P Paul M I thought I'd post it on here, Today's progress so far, material cut to size and guled on with pva.20250816_113839.jpgjust checking I've enough for the job,

Okay tac, let me check that I've understood this correctly.

To get a good looking canvas roof, use a layer of Philp's good lady's bara brith, and then apply it with PVA glue?

PhilP's good lady provides the suitable linen material, but MY good lady provides the home-made bara brith, as otted in fine establishments from Chester to places West. As they say, 'back home in Penrhyndeudraeth, it's world-famous!!'
 
Another good option is an old duvet cover, the material is quite thin. Though best to use a plain one. Oh dear are we becoming a sewing site?
