Thanks John for this really nice comment. Making these videos is fantastic fun. I love storytelling and it's so easy to create a story around the Thomas characters in a way that's not possible with engines without faces.
What will happen to the railway following it's closure? Well the filming of Part Two is almost completed and the video is well into post production. I'm hoping to upload it early next month. I hope it won't disappoint.
 
Hurrah! Thomas and his friends are saved!

(Coming back from the dentist last week, I had a look in the remainder bookshop and saw they had in a hardback reprint of all the original Thomas stories, divided into the separate books and with the original introductions, for £7.99. Needless to say, the shop now has one less!

I have both volumes of this book - the original Rev W Awdry stories and the ones written by Christopher. I refer to them quite often to make sure I stick as close to the original concept as possible.

You do indeed stick closely to the originals. Watching the new video I thought, "I've seen that landslide somewhere else recently", and went to check the Mrs Kyndley story, where it was.
 
I felt sad as the video progressed - but then the reasons became clear! I will miss the wonderful line you created but, also, cannot wait to see the new chapters developing in your hands.

I very much second those thoughts.
 
A new Railway is to be borne. How well I know those words, good luck with your new project and a complete set of new vids. You could in the new ones use a little bit of footage from the old line to give some variety to your new films, or would that be cheeting? But in the best of Film and TV Railway productions! Good luck again and I look forward to Updates as your new build progresses.

The new house needs a lot of work so it's unlikely that anything will be done in the garden until next year.
I've no plans at the moment of what the new railway will be like. Hopefully I will get some inspiration once I've been here a while.

Work on the House, I got my Railway built before I even contemplated that. I think it wise to be in for a Year or so, this way you can get your ideas in place for what you wish to do with the house. Plenty of time to build the garden railway without distractions!

It is always worth waiting for 'the seasons round' in the new garden as well.. That way you discover what is there, what you like, and what 'just has to go'!

That is good advice, trouble is there are always nice plants in the way of the pway. I just hoisted the lot out that were in my way, if it was plant like I put them in pots to see if I wanted them. Many large obvious shrubs I wanted removing anyway and used a loaned Stum Puller tied to subsequently removed Trees to get them out. That way I got my line started straight away. Priority for me.
