Good support so far.

Will someone now start a crowdfunding appeal?

I cast my vote to not close the line. Was I the first? There were no others when I voted.
JonD

Assuming the votes are listed in chronological order, first vote first, then three others votes before you.

Currently, there have been 31 votes - 21 to keep the line open and 10 for closure.

Hi Jon,
There have been 31 responses so far with 68% voting for it to remain open. You were the 4th person to vote. It seems that there is a strong lobby for it to remain closed led by Sunstrans, The Anti-Smoke Lobby, March for Progress, Ernest Marples, Mrs Beeching and Maggie T.
Meanwhile the property developer has erected a sign.

Thanks, I've tried that but it seems that the eraser just removes formatting. I still cannot find a way to delete a post.
I did say it wasn't easy - I have done it.............................once :think::think::think::think::think:

Nah, can't find it, it's an age thing

It's much easier to leave the double posts in.

If you try really hard, you can do a triple post................I've done that as well :giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle:

If the worst comes to the worst and the line closes, I'll buy the station building and move it to my line.

I'll share the transport costs if there is a suitable building to make a 'railway related' workshop in the back garden!

Well I never!
The railway is threatened with closure.
Public support is waning.
Sustrans want to tarmac the track bed and open it up to cyclists.
Ernest Marples is looking forward to taking over all of the freight business.
Planning permission is being applied for to turn Birdlip Junction into a luxury housing development.
And now, on top of this, other railways are planning on stripping the railway of its assets - track, buildings and signalling.

The world moves on. No room for sentiment in business!

I suspect the arrival of Spring will save the day....

Oh no, not stripping the railway of its assets, but preserving them for future generations so that Thomas might run again.

The staff and management of the H&MGR have just caught up with this shocking news. The railway, and it's video publicity studio must be saved at all costs!

Cracking good video Kieth and the "how it was done" video is very interesting. You clearly have a real skill, and patience, to do this fun videos.:clap::clap:
