Strange Mts Goings On!

I have strange goings on with my MTS system? Whilst driving one loco, then after a random period of time, anither loco will start moving at about 1/3 full speed. I am using loco addresses 1, 3, 5 and 7 as I have 4 locos. Any idea's anyone? It hasn't always done this and I have only noticed it since I purchased my new LGB Alco loco? Surely a new loco cannot have this effect on other locos?
Any ideas?

Does it happen consistently and reliably? Will it happen if you do nothing, or just have one loco shuttling around?

What decoders are in the locos that "come alive".

Hi Greg,
Yes it happens consistantly. I need to check if it still happens with no locos running but with everything turned on. The loco that starts moving is an LGB sumpter valley mallet with factory fitted MTS and sound.

I'm not an MTS expert, but I'd turn off the "dc mode" (in CV29) and see if it stops happening. Early decoders were sensitive to noise on the signal and would often take off on their own.

Gregs suggestion sounds a good start to me. As its only one loco playing up it may indicate that that loco is the fault rather than your system. What level of MTS are you running, In CV29 subtract 4 from the current value.
