I have a LGB 21900 KoF which is fitted with a Massoth e Motion L decoder.

I recently added a Massoth Power Buffer, but I've noticed since fitting that the loco creeps slowly forwards when the control is at zero. I've checked CV settings and all seems normal.

Anyone out there any ideas as to why this happens?

Suggestions welcome....

Gizzy - are you positive that you changed the relevant CV (29 or 49 I think) to be DCC only before attaching the buffer?

Yes Pete, I've just double checked that CV 29 was set to 4 (bit 2 set on). I use MTS 6.0 software and a 55045 PC Interface, and there is a radio button which selects DCC only as well as a means to view each individual CV. I can see CV 29 change if I toggle the radio button, so I'm 100% sure on this one....

Re:problem with Power Buffer and S Decoder

What decoder is the main driving decoder and where is the power buffer fitted, to the main driving decoder or to the Massoth S?

As per Cliff's question.....where have you connected the power buffer?

Sorry, it's an L decoder, (small loco), not an S? Got confused with S for small instead of sound.

Black is on the GND, red is on the DEC + and White is on the BC connector....

Re:problem with Power Buffer and S Decoder

The L decoder does not have a dedicated BC connector - it shares A5 and you must set CV118 to 31 to enable it.

Bit 2 of CV29 needs to be clear (0) - that is set Digital operation only.
