Our friend Dillen creates a motor block with wheels of Steaming Mary :
Those are brilliant conversions! I especially like the repurposing of the steaming mary wheels. That locomotive and tender look like a beast! The dual motor unit 4052 is neatly done too. I swear I've seen the crane wagon at the back of the 4053 works train somewhere before.
Thank you for sharing!

The LGB Matra crane, should always have been a self-propelled piece of rolling-stock..

This is making me think..
Photoshop of the Playmo cab unit grafted with the Matra crane, anybody?

Sorry
I took all place with my pics although this discussion is yours
I wanted to add that I like items in your store.
They are very helpful.

All this talk of a playmobil crane and this is a slow burn project I’m doing,

It’s the pivoting part from a playmobil crane, could easily be swapped to a fire engine, as they did release a crane and fire engine that were very similar, the only difference was the colour and one had a crane jib, the other had a ladder

Hope this helps the inspiration

I found motor so next step is to add motor under frame
then mobile crane will not need red loco anymore ....

I am not happy about stabilizer jack.
They are too small for this crane.

I am still thinking how to extend them

Yes, it was a limited range, but a good range.

Back in my early large scale days, I poo-pooed Playmobil as not being realistic. Nowadays, as I move toward more fantasy for my garden railway, I wish I had purchased some of those items.
