Wonderful Paul, brings a whole new meaning to the word 'extension'! Are you all live steam or is there some track power as well?
Kim

currently :D no track power to the extension as is its such a long one and we have a low power Gaugemaster transformer, and we're going to have a return loop, and electrics "do me 'ead in".
isolated from the junction on for now, so steamers only, up the hill
maybe in the future - I know where to ask for advice

Looks fantastic Paul, I can't wait to see it after it is complete.

On garden railways, hills are good !

thanks, me too

hills make tracklaying interesting / fun / headscratching :wits:

Awesome! :applause:

Great to see the thread on here Paul and looking forward to the grand opening...

...and you Paul. I've been away for a week and trying to keep up to date using a flakey Peak district signal on my iPhone, so it's good to be back in touch with what appears to be more or less everyone.

So impressed that it's all functioning so quickly.

old line to the left of the hedge, extension to the right
to be completed -
phase 3 - return loop around the mountain
phase 4 - return spur to the main line to allow continuous running - this also includes removing the shed, reworking the sidings and steam up area to ease curves and points, and a new larger shed, somewhere, sometime, or breaking in to the sunroom  so next year
and hard landscaping/ scenery of course

horseshoe bends covered in leaves
gaps in the rockwork will be less evident when the rear faces are done - also will be some judicious infill when its all settled
