Hi, I have just finish build an OcCre BR18 kit with motor unit, smoke and lights
my loco is radio controlled and run on a handmade wooden railway.

this is the kit content..

instruction manual is all photographic, throughout the construction I did not need the text and no any problem to follow it

this is the 2wd motor unit sold separately

thanks!! is not.. my enghish is like a monkey screaming on a tree, rather, correct me when it is necessary at least I learn something more.

Kit contains a large quantity of bits but it did not seem particularly complicated to build, need patience and good glue.and all the pieces fit together very precisely.

the assembly starts from the boiler to be mounted starting from the upper part so as to accumulate any errors in the underlying part
to bend the brass plates I used a small diameter iron cylinder and a bottle to enlarge them to the correct diameter

most of the metal castings are glued with Uhu plus 300+ epoxy glue, the glue takes a lot to dry but is tough as a weld, to shorten the time it must be dried in the heat

I have drilled a hole in the bracket as to pass wires

where possible I have soldered

be careful when gluing all these parts because with the cyanoacrylate they will not be as good as epoxy but you will have to glue them vertically to make them stay in place

First primer paint with polyurethane 2 component matt paint

definitive color same polyurethane matt

looking at the instructions I thought that the assembly of the connecting rods was very complex, instead in 2 hours I finished just following the photographs

Now let's talk about the smoke unit heng long .. when I started the locomotive was traveling from China, so I did not think possible to put it in the boiler and I set it up to put it in the tender at 40cm from chimney

but it turned out to be an error

I armed myself with courage and I made a very intrusive change

the tender is modified to accommodate the electronics, I tried to get as much space as possible. coal ( are stones) is glued on a wooden stopper, I used some transparent film to separate it

patin and dirt is made with acrylic watercolor vallejo black and smoke
