Not strictly 'G-scale', but....

the bank manager has not even been approached :D:D:D
Oh, you mean you haven't switched off the bedroom light, snuggled up to SWMBO and said "Darling..." :tmi:

Well, yes and no minister :shake:

Given that the most that I have spent on a loco is £200..........................

Hey, you rilly MUST tell us how on earth you model Fn3 locomotives for £200 or less! :O

tac
I bought the first Connie new at £200 - I think the shop owner had probably ordered an extra couple to get a delivery discount or some such, as he had two on the website for that price - three days later both were gone. >:)>:)>:)>:)>:)

I bought the second Connie second hand but very lightly used for £200.:clap::clap::clap::clap:

I have a 10 wheeler which is a Bachmann Annie with widened cab (part Connie) and footplates and a scratchbuilt whaleback tender

I have a 2-6-2 largely scratchbuilt under a Bachmann bug mauler body, which is currently undergoing conversion to battery power. I lied slightly over this one :lipssealed::lipssealed::lipssealed::lipssealed: as I think it cost about £220 to build - the wheels alone for loco and tender came to £120, and since I originally built it (in 1:22.5) I have widened the cab and footplates, and then bought a K27 tender shell from Bachmann for £50.

I have a battery powered Bachmann 45 tonner which cost less than £200 including the battery packs, sound card and ESC. The Actual loco was a Bachmann repo, but, although unused, had been attacked by a previous owner (and then I think returned and foisted on an unsuspecting retailer) and had bits missing inside, wires cut etc etc - no problem when starting out on a battery conversion, so purchased at a snip of the retail price.

I have a Banta crewcab which runs on an Essel Engineering chassis (made as a replacement for the Bachamnn Davenport) and by the time all of the R/C battery gear is included it might be a tinsey winsey bit more than £200.

I have a Worsley Works IOM Schoema diesel which has a heavily modified IP Engineering chassis, and is currently languishing while I try and change the chassis to sprung hornblocks. It was under £200 before I started messing about........................ :tmi::tmi::tmi:

It may not be that exciting, but it keeps me happy :emo::emo::emo::emo:

Ah, I almost forgot - I have a live steam Accucraft 3-cylinder Shay that I paid a little more than £200 for - a small windfall, and before SWMBO could say 'fur coat' it had landed on the doorstep - they're quite a bit more expensive now though :devil::devil::devil::devil::devil:

You have to explain it to them: fur coat is not PC these days but a toy train is an investment. Total cobblers but worth a go :talking:

I got the Shay - she hasn't got a fur coat yet :cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
Aaah, those cute bunnie-wunnies or foxy-woxies etc etc, buy another bloodless Shay and stay PC :mask:

No, a fur coat is not a PC. a fur coat is a coat and a PC is a computer!
