A real regular home from home. A very nice addition to your growing rake of logging work cars.

Hi Steven
Many thanks for your comments i do plan to run it with a MOW train with a works car which i still have to build and the beaver tail flat with bulldozer . When not running it will sit in a siding .

Re:Logging Camp Car From A Bachmann Box Car

Finished off the camp car today weathered the roof which just slots on the top so i can get to the batteries and switch and removed some of the varnish from the windows to make them look as if they have cleaned them a bit . Have also repainted the green interior walls as i didn't like the effect of the black paint . At some point i may make some signs to hang on the out side ( Camp Car 1 ) also some little details to go on the shelves and tables .
Bachmann On30 model which i have copied

Re:Logging Camp Car From A Bachmann Box Car

I remember a guy about a year or so ago saying that he wasn't too sure about this scratchbuilding lark and that he was worried that if he attempted a build it wouldn't be very successful.

Yet here is another top quality build from that very same gentleman.

Nice job Richie :clap::clap:

The Porter loco is a Bachmann Spectrum saddle tank have had it several years but had ago at weathering it last year my first and only weathered loco .
The Generator came on the flat car with the bulldozer . It is made by USA Trains you can pick them up new for around a tenner but you might find some second hand .
I was lucky and picked up a flat car with 3 for £12 few years back on e bay
