Picked up a few second hand Bachmann box cars some months ago with the idea to build some camp cars for my logging line . I see that Bachmann make some nice models in on30 shame they don't make them in G scale to go with all there logging locos .

Onto the build started by removing all the parts from the body and roof . Sliding door was cut to size to fill in the opening and windows and doors were marked out . These were cut out with a row of drill holes and filed to shape . Body is now ready to be clad in wooden coffee stirers which need cutting in half cut to length and filed on the edges .

Had a chance yesterday to finish all the wood cladding next job to work on the roof and spray paint the body .

Bachmann seem to do a nice range of logging wagons in on30 which would look very nice in G scale they must of sold 1000's of shays over the years . I made a pulp wood car last year from a on30 model .

Have done a bit more work today have made some steps out of yet more coffee stirers door handles from LGB hand rails and the roof covered in sheets of very fine wet & dry paper . The inside has been painted green .

I do my best to use what i have in my spares box to add details Tony just checking how i'm going to make the stoves pipes have a few ideas and i'm not sure yet to fit lights inside .
