Barriers painted today. Two sets, a pair for the Playmo crossing, and 4 half barriers I will fit to Angus's Crossing, which are ART units.
The engine shed was a bargain buy from Rocket Railways. I'm painting it cream to blend in better on my N gauge Swiss layout....

Excellent. I like cranes. Although down in Kent, I'm awaiting another of the Conlines cranes, principally because it had
some of the missing pieces of the cargo boat with it. It will go with the digital pignose and baggage van that came from GRS plus the large bridge from EBayBay Mike. The car is filling up in a profitable way on this trip. Herself is, well ...! Also, some Bachmann metal wheels have apparently arrived at home from Chalk Garden Rail after a long delay from Germany. Fun, fun, fun.

Very nice Dan, I do like that!
I guess you used a magnet to lift the container?
The grabber mechanism is fine for the Playmo container, but the LGB ones (of which I have several) are wider, and I can't see a way to modify it to fit.
Meanwhile, I've been painting....

Somebody on the Wednesday thread is doing the exact same task:
Crane is now painted, hand rails and railings installed, and stickers applied!
I was planning to use it straddling 3 tracks, but after seeing Dan's video, I now realise it should span a single track siding with a buffer and off load at the end, so not really suitable for unloading a 7 wagon container train!
It's more like the gantry used at RhB depots to offload containers from a rail wagon to a lorry.
However, it's a nice scenic item, although I doubt it'll be weather proof enough to be operational, so I've found a siding for it to live for now....

The unit is made in two halves and comes apart by removing just 2 screws.
I swapped over any damaged parts as necessary. I have some new Busch lights to refit later....

Started to rehabilitate the railway today following winter.
One of the projects I wanted to do, is to simplify Pip's Junction. The purchase of a Diamond Crossing from CraigLinc last year meant I could replace the ladder junction with a more traditional crossover. This also effectively makes the Reversing Loop longer, so I can now run my full 7 car TEE VT11.4 set round the loop. Previously I was limited to a 6 car formation.

And the lastest version 3.0:
The R3 3 way point will be re-used at the station throat, with R3 points, to replace the scissors junction currently using R1 points.
Eventually, my plan is for the main running lines to have large radius points, with R1 only used in yards and sidings....
