Sounds about right. Just don't run with pantographs up unless you've put in a short stretch of catenary! Speaking from experience!

Thanks, great 16cm width will clear most stuff even the big 1:20.3 scale models although a bit tight!

If you can arrange your track to have straight sections, either end of the bridge, it helps a great deal with long or overhanging stock..

I will try to to do that, a good point I had forgotten about as the long coaches cut quite a few corners and the big locos overhang quite a bit at the ends.
 
I could get my Bachmann K-27 through even with a slight curve on the approach. The Accucraft K-28 needed the awnings over the cab windows folded in and a straight approach though. No problem with the body clearances and stove pipes on the Accy' J&S combine and Bachmann long caboose. In the end though I replaced with an MVL under beam bridge. Lot more room and made to measure. Max
