K27 bridge bypass on the NSLR Begins

As the sun warmed up the day i decided it was time to start this project .so heres some pictures of the work so far
i decided this would be the new section

with one of my new aristocraft switches from the dragon i set to work cutting out a section of track

Work has been stopped at the moment as i negotiate with the on site engineer who dosnt recall a conversation last year concerning the track running through flower bed&:
negotiations have started again8|:(:(
so to take my mind off i put my windmill in place its spinning like mad with all the hot air at the moment:rolf::rolf:

now the hard bit joining one switch to the other8|.
here is the pictures of the route it will take 4ft radii curve in place as you can see it needs some sky hooks:rolf:.Havent decided what to do yet,viaduct or trestles or panic:rolf: all ideas please:clap:

How stable is the ground? Could you build a retaining wall - can't remember what they're called in American RR terminology, but one made out of timber stacked up then filled with gravel/fill material? Could look quite nice!

I think you are refering to a 'crib wall'. with wooden ties going back into the embankment to hold all secure.

after cutting out at existing track and getting level around curve i have come to the conclusion never trust your eye:rolf: looks like it could be trestles after all theres some height to get it leve

Good work Nico how about building a rock face like the Rio Grande High line with your stream being the Animas Canyon :thumbup:
