Ok garden fans, I've just bought another bogie coach (but it is not Accucraft and it's not a kit either) it's a Stuart Coaches Saltly .

Ok only painted side detailing but from 10 feet who knows anyway but I had not heard of this firm before and they are not even mentioned on the 15mm site. Can anyone give me more details/history.

Stuart do/did a range of British outline NG coaches, pall the usual suspects except L&B. Garden Railway Specialists seemed to be their main outlet, although their kits covered the same subject areas. Stuart Coaches | Garden Railway Specialists Tel:01844 345158 All made to the same format steel chassis/bodies with 45 mm (32 ?) gauged bogies Flat sides with no relief, screen/tampo (?) printed with a good degree of detail. Used hook and loop couplers, direct to bogies, rather than the more accepted body mounted choppers in the 16 mm world. Intended more for the RTR and LGB market. Max

Edit - I remember seeing this make around 20 years ago in GRS, about £90 a pop then new. At the time there was very little in RTR British outline NG 16 mm rolling stock. It was all Tenmille, Brandbright, IP, Perfect World in die or laser cut wood and GRS's own resin & formed/vac/cut sheet styrene kits. So things were costly if you had to get someone to build for you. They answered a need for some. Personally they never floated my boat, they also looked proportionally challenged like an LGB product. Looks like silly money prices these days.
