A stunning bunch of shots, I just wish some of those ferns and moss etc,. would grow round my railway to make it 'blend' a bit.

Not the best shot but the shadows playing as the trains passed by fascinated this trainspotter

Then I tried to get all arty and catch the feeling of the motion:-

Well shall we just say it was a different idea and leave it at that X(

But the favourite shot of the day wasn't exactly trains, it was the sun through the tress above the railway

Beautiful pictures John - yes, leave the high speed ones behind, that's not the character of your railway. The way that your trackbed has bedded in with moss et-all comes close to rural perfection.

Lovely photos in the winter sunshine, John. Yes the motion ones look a little out of place with the character of your line, but as said nature has bedded the track into the landscape beautifully.

SWMBO's O&K was the main subject to day. Good to rotate all the battery powered stock to keep the batteries well cycled.

Was a cracker of a winter day at the H&MGR today, though much of the spare sunshine hours was spent fitting the long awaited servo to Manawanui's regulator. Not that I'm complaining, cause when I got out into the garden to test the results, even though the sun dropped over the hills as 40PSI was raised, the test was a great success.

Photos would have been warmer with some sun, but the steam plumes were great.. At times tall through the tress and at time lasting to be the length of the train. Excellent stuff.:love:

Time today to do some more testing of Manawanui's regulator servo, it's a tough job but it has to be done:-
Pulling away from Kakariki...

now passing the log siding at the north end of Punga Cliffs...

in Church Cutting having exited the top tunnel at the south end of Punga Cliffs.
