and through Punga Cliffs where the fingers of dappled sun reach in late in the day.

The Dubs A will always be a classic favourite on the H&MGR :love:

Thanks Neil. And yes more than the Dub's usual load, though those ex GSM kit coaches at the back are pretty light. She does need looking after though, she really is my all time favourite :love:

Another steam up Sunday on the H&MGR. Steamed Leader first and having so much fun driving I didn't take any pictures. :thinking: Manawanui was next, but gee the light goes fast on these mid winter afternoons, so sorry only grainy piccies to mark the day.

But rest assured I was having fun...

Was dark by the time everything cooled and put away but I didn't care I was very happy with the afternoons running. It was one of those days you wish you could share in more than just pictures with your mates.

Thanks James. There was something about the smell of the steam and steam oil more so today in the closeness of the winter afternoon; maybe the graininess goes a little way to portraying the feeling? Hehe, we need smell-a-vision

Good news, on Sunday I got to run the Leader in the winter midday sun. And boy what fun I had.

Entering Church Cutting...

...downhill over the level crossing....

...and about to sweep around under the truss bridge.

And a bracket of three, having come off the truss bridge and entering Church Cutting, the extent of the uphill climb...

...and plunging into the Top Tunnel.

Shame we had to go out, I could have played like this all day. No testing I was unashamedly playing
