At least five years ago (maybe longer...) Kiss announced that they were going to do the RhB ABe 4/4-II Electric Railcar at which time I placed an order for one with Tim at Arcadia at the same placing some funds in a safe place.
Last year it was announced that ESU were taking over this project and, lo and behold, earlier this year the model began to appear. At the beginning of the month I met Frank of Frank's Garten Bahnen in Berlin and he confirmed that his delivery and come and gone before you could say "hallo".
Upon my return from Germany Tim advised me the his order for two railcars was on its way and soon my railcar was on its way to the EG&SNNR. During the course of the next week or so I will be adding to this review as I examine, test and run the railcar. In the meantime this is what arrived still safely secured in its plastic cradle:

The packaging was interesting. The railcar is securely fixed in a plastic cradle which is then placed in a cardboard tray which then goes in the stiff outer box:

All quite good for shipping but a little fiddly if you are used to keeping models in their boxes in between running sessions without securing the model to the plastic cradle. Maybe some tailor-cut dense foam would solve this problem.
The review will continue when I get the railcar out of its cradle and onto the rollers......
