Emily conversion to Stirling Single #1

Hey Jeremy you helped me a lot and I was glad to lend my little bit. Wish I'd found you earlier, my tender would have turned out better, but not changing it now! Like you said, it's my railroad and my Stirling is like that and pulls green cars(might change the roofs though!). ;) Neat how all hobbies/activities have advanced because of the internet and people helping each other and great forums like this one.

I finally got the Stirling done. Stan Cedarleaf did a great job on the decals, lots of emails back and forth! Applying all the vinyl stripes about did me in though. Devil is in the details. Guess I still need to put the light on, and a few things I seemed to have forgotten till now. Oh well, old brains...

It may have been tricky but it's a lovely looking loco. Mind you I have a soft spot for mechanical apparatus of that era...

My grandson and I saw Emily and her coaches for the first time at the Oaks, Pa. train show last Saturday. She is quite impressive. What impressed me the most was her gentle gait. Ethan shot most of the video of the traction portion. Emily is near the end.

beautifull.. just perfect

Now, now Jeremy, we both know yours is the best conversion and those coaches you painted to look like wood are amazing!

Jeremy hopes to get some good pictures of the coach lettering in February when someplace opens up near him that has some. I plan to keep my coaches green.

Absolutely brilliant build Jerry a pleasure to read from beginning to end

A beautiful model, congratulations :D

Eaglecliff,
I looked up the Midland Railway Johnson Single, Emily would be a good base to do it and no splasher holes! I don't think I'll be doing one, but would be nice to see one done.

Jerry, I think, I will have to have a go at one. The Bachmann Emily sterling chassis could be used with some mod`s, the rest will have to be scratch built. my dad built one in 5" gauge some thirty years ago, so have got something to copy.  How about a join`t venture?    Jeremy
