Hi

About 30 years ago I purchased a clearestory coach (lgb # 3050) this has spent the last ten years as a grounded van body ! I recently purchased an early post van (lgb # 3020)

These are both over sprayed in Prussion Blue.

Does any body know if this was an LGB factory finish?

Regards DJ

As far as I'm aware, the only blue version of the post van was the 1985 "104 Jahre Lehmann" collector's version, which completed the special 100 Jahre anniversary train set issued from 1981 to 1985. As Mark says, all others (certainly all prior to that date) were green according to everything I've read. The 1985 special blue van carries anniversary markings in gold.

Do either your coach or van carry LGB factory-type markings over the paint? If not, then that would strongly suggest they are both repaints.

Any chance of some pics?

Jon.
