Yes Chugmeister.
Perhaps a kindly moderator could change the title.
Meantime, a brief interlude......

Looks great Paul, as always.

Haven't seen the Murtalbahn U42 in your more recent pix - have you moved it on?

Cheers

It's either a V51 or a V52 mate.

Depending on the track gauge it'll be a V51 for 750/760mm or a V52 for 1000mm track, but basically the same loco.

I have 2 as the main freight locos on my own railway.

Normally found in DB red or RhB orange, but has been produced by LGB in green for the Brohltalbahn and Paul's blue for the Rugen Island railway....

Ah - enlightenment - cheers

It looks pretty pukka, I'm surprised Paul has resisted the temptation to dirty it :mask::mask:

Ah, but then it would be a 'dirty diesel'... A different island (and line) entirely!

<Nasal whining voice ON>..... Actually, I think you'll find.... <Nasal whining voice OFF>

... that the Rugen-livery version is an all-red one (including a red cab roof, unlike the silver-roofed DB versions); I think the blue one is from a prototype running on another preserved line, i just can't recall which one at the moment. Might be the Pressnitztalbahn.....?

Yes - LGB did it in red for the Rugen and both versions are numbered 901, so it looks like it's the same one.

Moi aussi!

Knew I had seen pix of it in blue on the Rugen, but you are correct Jon; the blue is the Presnitz livery....
