Hi folks.

Just in the process of wiring up a battery powered loco, but my memory is a little patchy when it comes to remembering how the loco was wired up, so could someone please draw me some lines on the picture to help???

RED for positive BLACK for negative

One switch should turn the loco ON or OFF, when ON the LIGHTS should also come ON

The other switch selects FORWARDS or BACKWARDS motion from the motor

The SPEED CONTROLLER allows the loco to be stationary in either motion on power up.

Hi Keith,
I hope this is of some use.
I've deliberately missed off the final connections to the speed controller as I don't know what type you are using. If it's a proprietary one there should be instructions somewhere.
I've used green and blue for the motor wires as their polarity doesn't matter as they are reversible.

Edit, corrected LED polarity

Thanks Neil :D

If the battery pack was rechargeable would loco "Switch A" be sufficient to isolate the loco during charge?

Yes it would.
However my personal preference is the belt and braces approach using a switched socket for the charging socket.
