Hi Mike. Thanks for responding. I just want self- adhesive ones as on the Piko 'Rosenbach' buildings. I want to rename two stations. Nothing fancy, just as permanent as possible. It's probably, hopefully, fairly easy, but nothing comes to mind with regard to the waterproof part.
I have used these products for my station signage. Slater's Plastikard - Moulded Alphabets , Just glue to a backboard and as they are raised you can sand off the layer of background colour paint on the raised white moulded lettering. Max
Mine are printed on normal paper with a black border then I laminate them. Cut as close as you can to the edge but ensure a sealed edge. Hotel Silberhutte does not get much sun so the laminate has held up nicely, but Magdesprung is in the sun all day so the laminate has broken down some over the 7 years it has been in place.
From normal distance view the excess of laminate is barely noticeable. I place my signs on Tinplate and the signs themselves have adhesive magnetic tape to that they can be easily replaces without having to rely on glue.
