Hi all, first time post so be gentle!!! I'm relatively new to the world of garden railways but the layout is progressing nicely!

I am however looking for some guidance or help. I am trying to locate a supplier of station name signs (both platform and signal box) but cannot find anything on the "net" bigger than 'O' scale.

Do any of you good folk know of a suitable supplier of G scale station name signs that you could refer me to?

Many thanks in anticipation all.

Welcome aboard. I'm sure one of our esteemed members will be along shortly with a solution.

Welcome Wayne.

Have you tried Garde Railway Specialists, or P&S Hobbies?

Looking through this months Garden Rail magazine, Brandbright or Slaters Plastikard might be other sources.

You can buy plastic letters to make up your own signs....

Thanks, had a look at GRS but not the others so thanks for the tips!

I've spotted a couple of options on ebay. One wants £40 for two signs, which makes this one . . .

. . . look like a bargain!

All the best

David
Thanks David, they are that cheap its worth having a punt...even if they end up not being any good.

Will let you know how i get on!

Hi Wayne, it's nice to have you here. Ignore what some say about the humour as we are nearly all perfectly sound, in mind if not in body.
I wonder if any of our 3D printing members may be able to help with the signs? It may be worth putting a request in that section of the forum.
But above all enjoy yourself!

Our treasurer's son makes 3D printed keyrings that look like a station sign for about 10p - any colour you like.

Another thought, most preservation lines sell totems with magnetic attraction as fridge magnets of Station names from their lines bit larger than shown above by Tac.

Also these folk are wonderful I’ve been asking such basic questions and they have helped me all the way.
It’s great to have help when we are spending to create our dream railways and want it to be right.

So thanks to the group.
Also great sense of humor

I’m drawing a cowboy station tonight and tested some texture today which is looking good …. Total fluke but a win.

Zoom in G gauge printed weather board sheet.
