I have several Otto type locos on battery power , getting down to clean track is ok , its the getting up bit !
Have a look at LGB Feldbahn wagons and coaches , or Hartland open wagons . I have used them with my Feldbahn
locos.
If you are still looking for some thing , and going to Exeter Garden Rail show at the end of the month , look us up.

Hi Jimmy, though you may like to see the inside of a Battery Driving Van that I did for a friend, it is a USA LGB bogie Van with an Aristo Sound System and NiCad Batteries. With your proposed setup you should have plenty of space in a small van. The Red Switch is the Push Button for the Linking, the On/Off is mounted just below that on the small Panel of Aluminium screwed to the Wood Blocks.

The cardboard is being used as an enclosure for the Speaker. It is generally felt that better sound ensues with an enclosure much as a Sterio Speaker. I have also use a Rattle Can Lid in some installations. One could drill holes beneath the Speaker Housing to get the Sound out more but I normally find this to be unnecessary. Of course one can experiment to see what works in your setup before drilling any holes with just the box.

Jon, I've used one of those tubs you get drawing pins in on several occasions. Trouble is I've now got enough drawing pins to last me for life!!!
