Hi all,

I'm currently pricing a layout up for a friend, and wondering what peoples thoughts were on TrainLine track? I've only ever used LGB 1200mm lengths or the 1500mm flexi. The points will all be LGB, but is the TL track any good? Looks quite a bit cheaper than the LGB equivalent. And are there many/any Uk stockists of it?

:)

A mate has used some on his layout.

Brought from the now closed Glendale Junction.

It seems to be very similar to LGB, and it's made in Germany, so I expect it is good quality....

Train Line Points have a small issue of wheels bumping at frogs, to resolve the issue I have glued small slithers of plasticard in the grooves if the frog to stop the wheels dropping. The straight flex track is as good as LGB just a little more flexible as the plastic is somewhat more pliable than that used by LGB.

Also note the trainli track has similiar metal content to LGB and weathers much the same. Aristo and USA train stayed brighter for a long time.
