Kept the trains running till late, but then snails started to interfere with operations!

A morning of annoyance led to a bit of relaying. The postcrete had set the track in a dip, so chisel was obtained and track levelled. Only a problem with 4 wheel stock and stupid bachmann metal wheels. Big, big mistake those things.In other news, the Magnolia has flowers! Only took 3 years....

It's been an effort keeping the garden alive with the recent heat, so out came the sprinkler again. A little cooler today though, so that should help.

Excellent day today, with a visit from @dunnyrail. A few hours at my railway, and then to my dad's just down the road. 2 railways in one day. It's nice to let others see your railway occasionally. Though I'm not sure my running practices (relax and watch) are the cup of tea for John

Additionally, the shelves came, so all my locomotive fleet can come down from the loft tomorrow! Can't wait!

Yes was a lovely day, great to see both railways that have had good exposure to the forum. Was a hot one though Pauls Dad’s place did have a refreshing wind around. The pic of me on the ground was using my phone to measure the gradient to the side of his line, a surprising 1:13 which probably explains why trains mostly go down hill at that point! Wish I had a secret rock stash near me like Paul has. Oh and the pub was very good as well with an offering of excellent Ossett beer….yum.

Meanwhile it would appear that a certain someone has had a private station built. How the other half live eh!? Rumour has it that the contract went to Dunny Rail Property Development Ltd.....

It's certainly added some interest to the far end of the line!

No mate, only if it's on the end of the train, so I'll live with it and put it in the middle of a consist.

This is what summer is all about, though I've put the big locomotives in the shade, as it surely can't do them much good(?) Just a little inspection car now doing the rounds.
