Productive afternoon. Sore fingers because of rail clamps. But finally the railway has reached the east.... An unknown land....

LOOK AWAY NOW if you don't like pictures....

It's going to nearly double the running length of the railway.

Thanks muchly. The postcrete should help keep it tidy and strong, needing minimal maintenance other than cleaning the rails. My chuffing finger ends though....

Phase 1b now complete. Other than removing the shuttering and making a grass embankment. Today is one of these days where you had an idea in your head, but the results are better than how you imagined it. Now waiting on track clamps and curves, then away we go again. That will be a lonnnnnnng day.

Shuttering removed and soil put back up to one side as an embankment, with grass seed. Ran out of soil so can't do other side just yet.

Looking great. Its always nice when expansion does not require reconfiguration to existing track layout and you can work independently and still run trains!

And once again, tested. Waiting for payday now. Rail clamps, a signal box and some wire for the return loop module, which luckily didn't sell on here. Oh, and more postcrete. Till then, a break from the relentless updates.
