Autumn.... I feel Network Rails pain. This is the worst time of year for this railway, though it's nice and dry so getting most of now before they turn to mulch.

Just a little pictorial update. Not much has been happening on the railway other than keeping it tidy and ready for use. It's been very wet. Transplanted a few bits of plant to other areas. Pulled a few small weeds, not such a problem since gluing the ballast. Emptied and covered my water feature for winter, that's about it.

Brilliant. Referring back to your OP, I also have a small tail chaser layout like this, still in it's embryonic stage at the moment, but this has given me some long sought after inspiration and ideas.
