Your second pic put the size of the jungle into perspective Whilst garden railways might be considered civil engineering in miniature, the back ache can be 12" to the foot!

Good question Mel - dont know.
The main circuit is about is about 170 ft. This will keep growing slowly as funds and time allows - its currently about 100 ft. I can visualise about another 300ft at the moment, but who knows when!

Spent some time in the garden today - mainly clearing the overgrown shrubbery ready for the next bit. I also evened out the gradient on the stretch I laid last month. Got a fairly steady 1 in 40.

The Spreewald looks great - so does Heidi apart from the wavy handrail I know what you mean about 'playing trains' becoming distracting from progressing the layout.
