Very impressive engineering!
Unfortunately, I do not see a link to a video??

A well thought out railway, it ill look even better once the plants have had time to mature and the concrete has weathered a bit :)

interesting video, very solid construction
looking forward to further progress

I was off for a week. I managed to make very good progress, but it takes time to catch up on the videos. Here is the second episode:

Excellent video and great progress with the railway. I really liked the time lapse shot at the beginning, and its great to see the film end with a works train running.

Congratulations on the completion of your loop and running your first train successfully.

Regards,
Peter.

Now I have track power as well. I mean I had, since the actual footage is probably a month old now. Enjoy.

Amazing viaduct arches. And what a spot of luck to have a cement mixer sitting around with little to do ;D

Hi

Nice work with good looks, with all that mixing the use of the concrete mixer will have been much appreciated I am sure. I look forward to the continuing 'photo essay'

Just a thought, for safety, of your rolling stock, are there going to be any side walls added?

That certainly gives a feeling for the size of this layout. Have you measured the length of the circuit? ???

Brilliant, Csongor - Really like your gentle curves and steel bridge. A lot of work, but it will give you a lot of enjoyment.

I though I do a video on the viaduct. I think I have covered it in a different topic in this forum, be in case someone would rather watch than reading about it:

Another video update on successfully installing digital control in the garden. I got a second electrical box installed next to the existing box, connected the two up, and added the transformer, controller and some box which all needed for the Marklin digital system.

Since I want the ability to run analogue as well, I fabricated an input selector for track power. It is a rotary selector switch which drives set of relays (2 for each channel), selecting which input should go to the track. Channel 1 became digital, channel 2 analogue and channel 3 is for external power (LGB, analogue DC, etc.). The rotary switch only runs on low power hence I added the relays. The entire board runs off 5V from USB mobile phone charger. I also added LED indicators to tell which input is selected.

As opposed to my other videos there are some train footage at the end. Enjoy.

Excellent work.
Your control boxes will serve you very well into the future.
I have also got a dual power system for the three sections of my layout. Each section has a 'BIG' manual switch for DC/OFF/DCC . The control/power complex is sited in the conservatory but it certainly does not look as elegant as your external boxes!
With your solid track bed, great viaduct and wide station area, you have a very fine basis for your layout.
