I found this on e-bay in Canada. A jolly good price but then 8 weeks for surface postage and the VAT bill from customs. Still, its here now. It is slightly over the top - but thats why I like it.

This was a basic starter set stainz. A black aerosol and some transfers transforms it.

The Oxney Island line has needed some infrastructure for some while now. I finally got around to starting with some platforms.

These are made from 'Aquapanel'. A water proof plasterboard used in showers and the like. It is a reinforced concrete board. I cut it with an old hand saw for the straights and the jigsaw for the curves. Kills the blade quickly but the results are pretty good. Time will tell how they weather.

A great sunny day - so made the most of it. Gardening with trains running. Looks like a diesel day today!

That was yesterday - Today is a steam day. Filled the loco yard for a bit of fun.

Today had an invite over to Stockers as well as a new car to collect - and luckily where I was picking up the car was halfway to Stockers - a great way to spend a few hours.

Never thought I would see it on the Oxney Island Line but a Big Red Engine (belonging to Bredebahn) made an appearance....thought it looked quite good

Seeing that Thusis was on passenger duty, not to be outdone, Heidi made an appearance on a freight duty...

Its the new LGB - and the hand rails are straight - tis beautiful. One or two detail differences to Heidi too - looks brill.
