Banner-ads are now offering me mini (or micro) digger-hire at £75 a day, or £250 a week..
They do an Auger to fit as well.

Will need to talk nicely to neighbour.. Could get the mini round the back without demolishing the back-wall of the garage then..

We progress. slowly - slowly - but we are getting there. Roughly 40 yards done (including the original station area) and about 80 yards to go.

I had my Track Cleaner out this Tuesday on a section of my line that is tricky to get at to clean without some mountain climbing. Not beenused since probably May as I hardly ever use that bit of the line on juice as it gorms the continuous run. Took 4 passes to get the rail acceptably clean. With your new longer many yards line how long when finished would that be Alan? Though I do understand that you run more regularly than me round your loop so may be less of an issue.

Very roughly 380ft. On the original line, I ran the cleaner round once at about speed step 6 or 7 (of 28) maybe once a month - less in summer.

Looking really good Alan, the garden has been transformed for the better since I was there this time last year and the railway is looking superb. I agree with Keith though, a couple of mountains and spirals would look fantastic.

Another busy weekend. What with Grand Prix getting in the way as well.
Progress. I spent a considerable amount of time to get the inclines smooth at about 1:50. The little Franzburg now handles 4 bogies with no problems. It was struggling with 3.
Note how the grass seed has taken since the earthworks on the 12th Sept.
